1. Introduction

The UK Association for Biotechnology and Computational Science (UKABCS) is proud to announce the Conference Participation Support Grant for the upcoming IJBTCS International Conference on Biotechnology and Computational Science, to be held in December 2026 at Egypt. This grant is designed to remove financial barriers that prevent qualified researchers, academics, and students from participating in this international scientific event. Whether you require support with your registration fee or need full funding for travel and accommodation, UKABCS is committed to ensuring that financial limitations do not stand in the way of scientific participation and knowledge exchange.

2. About the Conference

The IJBTCS International Conference is a leading scientific event organised under the auspices of UKABCS and implemented in partnership with:

  • 🏛️ Faculty of Science, Cairo University — Strategic Host Partner
  • 🔬 EBO BioSolutions — Scientific and Publication Partner
  • 💻 Bioinformatics Gate — Implementation and Technical Partner
  •  UKABCS — Organiser and Grant Administrator
Full details of the conference programme, abstract submission, and registration are available at: https://ijbtcs.com/index.php/Conference-Publications-Section/index

Not eligible:

  • Applicants who have not engaged with the IJBTCS Conference submission process.
  • Applicants who have already received full institutional or external funding for the same costs.

7. Selection Criteria

Applications are reviewed competitively by the UKABCS Grants Committee based on:

  1. Scientific Merit — quality and relevance of the submitted abstract or research work.
  2. Participation Type — keynote/oral speakers are prioritised; poster presenters and general delegates are also eligible.
  3. Financial Need — evidence of financial barriers and limited institutional or personal funding.
  4. Geographic Distance — for Track B, priority is given to international participants travelling from outside Egypt.
  5. Alignment with Conference Scope — relevance to biotechnology, computational science, and allied fields.
