1. Institutional Affiliation
- Applicants must be affiliated with a recognized university, academic institution, non-profit organization, or accredited private company working in biotechnology, bioinformatics, or computational sciences.
- Partner institutions of UKABCS are prioritized; however, non-partner institutions may also apply, provided they submit an endorsement letter.
2. Endorsement Letter
- A signed and stamped letter from your institution (university, research office, or company) is required to confirm your affiliation and institutional approval to seek support.
- This serves as proof of endorsement and institutional backing.
3. Publication Support
- Applications for publication support must be submitted after the paper has been peer-reviewed and formally accepted in a recognized scientific journal.
- Only peer-reviewed journals are eligible; predatory or non-indexed outlets are excluded.
4. Conference Support
- For conference support, applicants must provide proof of acceptance to present (poster/oral) at the event.
- UKABCS may cover online participation fees or contribute to in-person registration/travel, depending on budget availability.
5. Commitment to Knowledge Sharing
- Applicants receiving support must agree to share outcomes (published paper DOI, presentation slides, poster, or abstract) on UKABCS platforms.
- This ensures that the supported work benefits the wider research community.
