Phase II: Project Execution & Experimental Validation
- Wet-Lab Validation: Practical experimental support to validate medical predictions within university laboratories.
- Publication Mentorship: Guidance for drafting and submitting research papers to peer-reviewed international medical journals.
4. Enhanced Experimental Support & Chemical Cash Fund
To secure essential laboratory materials and medical assay kits, UKABCS has introduced an enhanced experimental funding track:
- Annual Chemical & Reagents Allocation: A dedicated cash funding enhancement of £3,000 GBP per year allocated exclusively for purchasing approved Kits & Reagents and laboratory consumables for winning project teams.
- Total Experimental Funding: Reaches £9,000 GBP across the 3-year grant cycle.
- Direct Supplier Disbursement: Procurement payments are disbursed directly by UKABCS to verified chemical suppliers via Lab Chem Flow.
5. Main PI Leadership (Dr. Eman Ibrahim Anwar M. Ahmed) & Governance
Dr. Eman Ibrahim Anwar M. Ahmed (Assistant Professor in Clinical Pharmacology) serves as the designated Main Principal Investigator (Main PI). Under Clause 10.1 of the agreement, her responsibilities include:
- Scientific Review & Specification Approval: Evaluating and approving technical specifications for Kits & Reagents submitted by medical research teams.
- Digital Management via Lab Chem Flow: Overseeing procurement requests, inventory checks, and chemical dispensing through Lab Chem Flow.
- Resource Consolidation: Managing shared chemical utilization among project teams to optimize research efficiency.
- Reporting & Publication Governance: Submitting Quarterly Progress Reports and Annual Institutional Reports to UKABCS while maintaining institutional attribution for Sulaiman Al-Rajhi University and UKABCS.
